Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounting Manager, based out of our Mississauga office.
Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, variance analysis, and other reporting for leadership.

Manage the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure transactions are recorded correctly by entity, account, department, and project.
Support project accounting, including job costing, cost coding, WIP reporting, progress billing, holdbacks, and project profitability tracking.
Work closely with project managers and coordinators to review job cost reports, identify issues, and support timely corrections.
Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation for vendors, subcontractors, clients, employees, projects, insurance, and finance-related matters.
Support cash flow visibility by tracking payables, receivables, project billings, holdbacks, and expected payment requirements.
Support payroll, statutory remittances, HST, WSIB, EHT, source deductions, year-end files, audit requests, and compliance requirements.

Communicate clearly and professionally with finance, operations, project teams, vendors, subcontractors, and external partners

Possess a minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Have experience with full-cycle accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
Have experience in construction, general contracting, project-based accounting, or a similar environment, considered a strong asset
Have experience with construction ERP, project accounting software, or job costing systems

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounting Manager, based out of our Mississauga office.
Role Description
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for supporting BUILD IT's day-to-day accounting function, including full-cycle accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, project accounting, job costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, compliance, and accounting records.
This role plays an important part in supporting construction project profitability by maintaining accurate job cost records, reviewing Work-in-Progress reporting, supporting progress billing, monitoring project costs, and ensuring accounting processes are followed consistently.
