About the role
- Veterinary Technician Salary: $24 - $42 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Schedule: This is a full-time position averaging 35-40 hours per week, four 10-hour shifts.
- Northside Veterinary Clinic is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician or License Eligible Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
- Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Requirements
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification is required or license eligible in New York.
- Surgical experience is required.
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
- Candidates must have availability Monday through Friday (8:45 AM-6:00 PM) and Saturdays (8:45 AM-4:00 PM).
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
