About the role

Oversee and manage mineral interests, overriding royalty interests, and non-participating royalty interests, ensuring maximum revenue generation.
Maintain accurate ownership data within the company land management software.
Partner with brokers and attorneys in title and curative matters as appropriate
Provide guidance to land support staff
This position will be a Diamondback employee supporting the subsidiary, Viper Energy Partners.
The primary responsibility of the Landman is to manage an assigned geographic area within Viper Energy's mineral and royalty holdings.
This role supports asset management and works closely with internal teams and technical professionals to ensure company objectives and development goals are met.

Bachelor's Degree in Energy Management, Petroleum Land Management, Business Administration, or related field
Three (3+) years of progressive Land experience with at least two (2+) of those being in-house

Permian Basin landman experience
Aptitude to apply strategic thinking skills to identify and evaluate logically and creatively various factors that can have a current and future business impact
Solid attention to detail and flexibility regarding workload and priorities while also maintaining commercial awareness and a broader view of a business situation
Solid organizational and time management skills with a proven track record of being able to problem solve and think creatively
Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
