Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of project execution from preconstruction through closeout.
- Develop and implement project work plans, staffing strategies, and resource allocation.
- Direct and coordinate efforts of superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and support staff.
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance across project teams.
- Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Develop, manage, and analyze CPM-based project schedules.
- Maintain full financial accountability, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profit/loss management.
- Projects may include new ground up building construction, adaptive re-use of existing facilities, renovation, demolition, substations, navigation locks, dams, piers, dry docks, levees, floodwalls, utility systems, and site development, delivered through procurement methods such as Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, MATOC, MACC, and IDIQ contracts.
- Maintain thorough and accurate project documentation in accordance with federal standards.
- Support development and review of Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA).
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 10+ years of experience managing large-scale construction projects
- Demonstrated experience managing NAVFAC and/or USACE projects
- Strong knowledge of federal construction processes, contract requirements, and documentation standards
- Experience with CPM scheduling tools
- Strong financial management and budgeting experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not required
Skills
- Thorough understanding of construction practices, contract delivery methods, and federal procurement processes
- Working knowledge of RMS/QCS, eCMS, and federal project controls systems
- Strong knowledge of EM 385-1-1 safety standards
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
