About the role
- Loenbro is seeking a Project Manager for our Structural/Mechanical Division.
- The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of our structural and mechanical projects, from initial scope to final completion, ensuring they are on time, on budget, and meet quality standards.
- This role involves managing budgets, timelines, and milestones, coordinating with various teams, and acting as the primary client contact.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project schedules and key milestones for structural steel erection, mechanical systems installation, and equipment setting.
- Manage material quantities and track installation progress against project specifications.
- Develop and deliver progress billing documentation and follow up on invoice payments.
- Assess risks related to structural integrity, equipment installation, and system integration. Manage and execute change orders when needed. Conduct project reviews at completion and ensure all warranty requirements and closeout procedures are met.
- Participate in hiring hourly staff and create a highly motivated team environment. Conduct pre-construction meetings with each subcontractor. Utilize project management systems for tracking schedule and monitoring performance across multiple work fronts.
- The Project Manager guides the project team, delegates tasks, ensures adherence to safety and quality standards, and validates that work is completed on schedule and within budget.
Skills
- Possesses strong understanding of structural and mechanical systems including steel erection, piping, and equipment installation
- Ability to read and understand structural steel drawings, mechanical P&IDs, and equipment layout plans
- Knowledge of industry standards including AISC, AWS, and ASME codes
- Understanding of fabrication processes, erection sequencing, and mechanical system commissioning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines

Company info
- Coordinate with Safety Department to ensure all company policies and procedures are followed, with emphasis on steel erection safety, crane operations, and mechanical system protocols.
- Work with QA/QC to define inspection and testing requirements for structural connections, welds, and mechanical systems.
- Ensure all as-built documentation meets industry standards and client requirements.
