About the role
- The broad area of research will be the role of ISG15 in innate immune responses to viral and microbial pathogens, using biochemical and cell-based approaches.

Responsibilities
- Conducting laboratory research involving high-level experimental design and execution of experiments and their interpretation.

Requirements
- Extensive experience with molecular cloning, protein expression and purification, quantitative biochemical assays, mass spectrometry, and analysis of protein structure and function.

Nice to have
- Experience and expertise in the fields of ubiquitin and/or ubiquitin-like proteins, virology, and immunology.

Compensation
- $ 60,782 + depending on qualifications

Benefits
- The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
- This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. ----
