About the role

  • This role is responsible for addressing post-construction issues covered under warranty in newly completed commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, materials used, and time spent.
  • Support our controls division when needed.
  • Design Mechanical, Inc. is not open to third-party solicitation or resumes for our posted FTE positions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in commercial HVAC Service/Start-up, or warranty service.
  • Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet service demands or project deadlines.
  • The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of construction trades, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed on-site at newly completed commercial construction projects.
  • May involve working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, crawlspaces, or other challenging environments.

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • technical or trade school training preferred.
  • Preferred Skills:

Skills

  • Experience working on large-scale commercial construction projects.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
  • EPA Certification
