Responsibilities

  • Deliver software on-time with accurate estimates
  • Partner with product on understanding requirements, review technical requirements, and take/implement actionable tasks from the team's board/backlog
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design solutions implementing them
  • Support healthy system operations and ensure high levels of availability are achieved
  • Forge's differentiated global marketplace addresses rising demand among individual and institutional investors for exposure to private company stocks and is building a growing network effect.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent years of working experience in the field
  • Backend -first Full-Stack engineering experience in C#, Java, or an equivalent compiled object - oriented programming language on the back-end and React / Typescript on the front-end
  • Experience working in the Financial Services space specifically on a customer facing product
  • Proven expertise in working with CI/CD pipelines, managing application deployments, and ensuring code quality
  • Experience designing and managing distributed caching strategies using Redis
  • Proficient in Databases like PostgreSQL or RDS, SQL queries, and experience with cloud platforms like AWS or similar (Azure, GCP, etc )
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and platforms like GitHub and Agile project management tools such as JIRA
  • Knowledge of real-time data processing and event-drive architectures using technologies like Kafka and DAPR

Nice to have

  • Experience as a software engineer for a product engineering team
  • Experience with deploying and scaling containerized microservices using Kubernetes in production environments
  • Experience using large language models and agentic workflows
  • Experience with Event Sourcing and frameworks such as Marten

Compensation

  • For residents of New York, New York the annual base salary range for this role is $168,000-$200,000 + annual bonus.
