About the role

  • The Mechanical Project Engineer reports directly to the Mechanical Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Sales in the creation of equipment proposals by providing engineering analysis and design expertise.
  • Assist Project Managers with system commissioning and field support.
  • Evaluate and understands project requirements to plan execution of components design and select system components.
  • Design systems layout and specific components on 2D and 3D CAD equipment and software Our products could include steel structures, sheet metal parts, mechanisms and other Beumer products. Optimize for cost, functionality and manufacturability
  • Write specifications, user's manuals, and enter other data to fully document engineering designs.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare a variety of meeting notes, letters and technical reports that are clear and concise
  • Be able to take lead on multiple logistic projects at the same time.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering and related field or equivalent experience
  • Ability to specify mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components
  • Good knowledge of drafting, dimensioning, tolerancing and manufacturing processes
  • attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed, up to 20%.
  • Expertise of electrical motors, pneumatics, hydraulics and power transmission techniques

Nice to have

  • 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing and project engineering settings.

Compensation

  • 102,000-112,000 Annually
  • The posted salary range reflects the compensation the company reasonably expects to offer for this position.
  • Actual compensation will not be less than the posted minimum and will be based on multiple factors.

  • A Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering and related field or equivalent experience
  • 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing and project engineering settings. Preferred experience in design of automated machines and material handling capital equipment
