- Software Engineer, you will be a key technical leader responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance solutions across back-end systems.
- Advocate for your team's technical needs and priorities within the broader engineering organization.
Responsibilities
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and influence the direction of our platform.
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable and performant backend solutions that meet product requirements and enhance the experience of our platform powers
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers on best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.
- Break down complex projects into clear, actionable tasks to drive successful outcomes.
- Implement observability practices across the platform, including logging, monitoring, and alerting, to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Analyze performance metrics and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and drive optimization efforts.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for architecture and development processes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with back-end distributed system design, development, and delivery
- 3+ years of experience with microservice architectures
- Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- Proficiency with the delivery and hosting of front ends and microservices on Kubernetes and AWS
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically
- Experience with agile software development and delivery methodology
Nice to have
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (React, React Native, NextJS)
- Web performance optimization experience
