About the role

As a family-owned and operated company, we feel a special obligation to the employees who comprise our Taco family.
They are s ubject matter expert s on complex machining and also p rovide backup for the supervisor on second shift as needed.
This position reports into the site every day.

Ensure that programmers are properly utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to select the appropriate cutting tools and speeds/feeds for a variety of material types in order to create CNC programs and instructions used to run a CNC machine
Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to determine the appropriate machine tool, work holding and cutter selection, machine speeds, and feed rates
Coordinate with design engineering on best practices and designs for machinability
Maintains work area in a neat and organized manner to 5S standards
Performs other duties as assigned

15 + years of experience operating and programming CNC equipment
Ability to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word)
Good computer skills and advanced proficiency in query ing, monitor ing, and input ting NC machine and system data
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, with the ability to apply mathematical functions
Able to keep team members well informed and to draw on other's expertise when required
Ability to interpret engineering documentation and write appropriate machine-level instructions, including revisions to existing programs
Ability to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with others
Designs and fabricates fixtures as required and participates in high level project reviews

Lead, Machining TFR (Taco Fall River ) coordinates employees who work in the machine shop, schedules and assigns work as required.
Th ey train CNC programmers and operators and o versee creat ion of computer numerical control ( CNC ) programs for manufacturing components, cutter selection, setup documentation, tooling design and drafting, CNC tooling programs, verification, and shop aid sketches.
Lead, Machining is responsible for t roubleshooting the work of all employees within the machine shop that are responsible for the manufacturing of mid - to high - complexity components.

Achieve the KPI of on-time deliveries
Ensure that earned labor hours align with expected targets
Timely/successful training and evaluation of machine shop employees
