About the role

  • STV is seeking a dynamic Plumbing Designer/Plumbing Engineering Specialist to join our team in the Boston, MA office.
  • Current projects include public transit, convention centers, and transportation maintenance facilities; municipal buildings such as public work facilities; and light commercial / retail.
  • Other potential projects include correctional facilities, law enforcement, public health, and both K-12 and higher education buildings.

Responsibilities

  • will include the preparation of Plumbing designs, calculations, estimates, reports and specifications for building projects.
  • The Buildings Division provides design services to both public agencies and private corporations.

Requirements

  • Candidate will have an Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience and/or credential such as CPD (Certified in plumbing design).

Nice to have

  • A candidate with strong REVIT skills is preferred.

Skills

  • LEED AP, CPD, or PE certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Presenting technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Required Experience:
  • Good planning, organizational and communications skills are necessary for success in this position.
  • Fire Protection Wet/Dry/Pre-action Sprinkler systems and Fire Standpipe systems would be a plus.
  • Focused experience with industrial projects, state agency projects, and/or local municipal projects is a plus.

Compensation

  • Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year)
  • $128,067.17 - $146,362.48
  • The listed pay range is STV's good-faith salary estimate for this position.
  • Please note that the final salary offered for this position may be outside of this published range based on many factors, including but not limited to geography, education, experience, and/or certifications.
