Responsibilities
- Technical Engineering Support:
- Provide engineering support for structural steel erection, mechanical systems installation, and equipment setting.
- Perform structural and mechanical calculations to verify design integrity and compliance with AISC, AWS, and ASME codes.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and implement design changes.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures for structural and mechanical work.
- Maintain inspection records and ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Document Management:
- Maintain and organize all structural and mechanical documentation including shop drawings, fabrication documents, weld procedures, and equipment submittals.
- Manage RFIs specific to structural connections, mechanical systems, and equipment interfaces.
- Provide field engineering support for structural steel erection and mechanical equipment installation.
Skills
- Knowledge of AISC, AWS, ASME, and other relevant codes and standards
- Experience with steel connection design and detailing requirements
- Understanding of mechanical equipment installation and commissioning
- Excellent technical problem-solving and analytical skills
