Responsibilities
- 5+ years Locomotive Systems Engineering Experience which includes time spent on New Product Development, Requisition, and Installed Base product support.
- Define MCA Software revision/release scope with appropriate requirements definition, documentation updates, design review planning, verification and validation plans.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation activities to reduce risks to acceptable levels prior to software release.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years safety-critical controls or embedded controls experience
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve product problems in a 'high-pressure' environment
- Ability to estimate engineering effort for defined tasks
- Proven ability to strengthen teams, increase effectiveness, and broaden responsibilities
- Masters Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science.
- Working knowledge of INCOSE systems engineering best practices and Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Demonstrated experience in motivating employees and creating an atmosphere of acceptance and teamwork
- Detailed knowledge of MCA control system(s) including software development & release processes
Skills
- This includes ensuring system and sub-system level validation planning and tests are appropriate for the defined requirements and scope.
