About the role
- Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, and in-person.
- Install, configure, and deploy computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure proper software licensing.
- Document, track, and manage support requests in the help desk ticketing system.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on the resolution of more complex issues.
- Routine office hours are expected, with flexibility needed for after-hours support during critical incidents or system upgrades.
Requirements
- Must be able to regularly talk, hear, and operate various IT devices.
- Occasional lifting of equipment up to 40 pounds may be required.
- 1-2 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role.
Nice to have
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- equivalent work experience will be considered.
Compensation
- The typical base salary range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00 per hour and may vary depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
