Responsibilities
- The Test Engineer will be responsible for developing test systems from the concept review stage to the final test system release to production.
- Document the test concept by working closely with the R&D department
- Document the Production Test Requirements and communicate to the product designers and other test engineers
- Ensure that the test system meets the design specifications
- Provide 2nd line technical support and initial user training to users of the test solutions
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
- Design and document the test hardware and software required to meet all the test specifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Skills
- Must be able to read and understand hardware circuit schematics, CAD files and IC data sheets
- Knowledge of optical transmission and optical components is strongly preferred
- Must have experience with Python scripting, coding in VC++ or C#
- Knowledge of SQL database is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of National Instruments LabVIEW and test stand environments preferred
- Knowledge of PCBA level test methodology and optical performance/compliance testing
