About the role
- M anages all logistics actions related to the life cycle management of network systems, subsystems, and equipment.
- As a federal contractor, CNI is a drug-free workplace and adheres to the Federal Controlled Substance Act.
Responsibilities
- include directing the logistics process, developing support policies and procedures, and providing implementation guidance.
- Maintains and develops positive business relationships with key personnel involved in, or directly relevant to, logistics activity.
- Implements plans for logistics management of materials and labor for project execution.
- Manages the procurement of equipment with various approved vendors.
- Manages the receipt of equipment via established tracking systems.
- Manages availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products.
- Manages the movement of goods to maximize value and minimize costs.
- Develops tracking system(s) for materials and property management.
- Collaborates with other departments to meet customer requirements in the case of shortages, minimizing negative impacts on business.
- Develops and implements technical project management tools, such as plans, schedules, and responsibility and compliance matrices.
Requirements
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail required.
- Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and recommend improvements.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
Nice to have
- Experience in Government contracting preferred.
- Management experience preferred.
- Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and property accountability preferred.
- Experience with logistics documentation, reporting, and metrics preferred.
- Experience with inventories, cycle counts, reconciliations, and audits preferred.
- Experience with GFP, CAP, or customer-owned property preferred.
Skills
- May require the use of hand tools and electric tools to assemble warehouse shelving.
