Responsibilities

  • Work with participants by assisting them to learn and develop social skills, daily living skills and habits.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with program participants, families, staff and community agencies.
  • We advocate for people who are neurodiverse to lead full and equitable lives.
  • AHRC New York City is seeking Full-Time (35 hours per week) Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their Bronx Day Program.

Nice to have

  • Personal and/or Professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • Drivers License for more than one year in good standing preferred
  • High School diploma or GED is preferred.

Compensation

  • $2,000 annually upon completion and passing of AHRC Defensive Driving class
  • $2,000 annually upon completion of AMAP training.
