About the role
- This duties of this position may involve operating machines for long periods and repetitive bending and lifting of 50 lbs frequently.
- Shifts may vary during a week and days off may not be consecutive.
- The Standby Operator covers down where there is the most need.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment; performs general plant cleaning and grounds maintenance
- Establish and maintain working relationships with external agencies (sanitation authorities, equipment vendors, etc)
- Support SQF by completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
- Maintain positive relationships with plant supervisors and managers
- Perform above functions in assigned areas of responsibility
- Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision
- Respond and perform assigned duties in a timely manner
Requirements
- Maintain and complete required environmental and production paperwork.
Nice to have
- GED or High School Diploma
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Basic Computer Skill preferred
- Excellent Troubleshoot Experience
- Ability to work well with people
- Communication skills are a must
- Multi-tasked Individual
- Ability to work independently
