Manage vendor relationships including researching potential new vendors, negotiations, verifying, identifying and resolving discrepancies with vendors, and evaluating vendors based on on-time deliveries, product quality, etc.
Analyzes demand and proactively manages inventory levels to ensure a timely and cost effective delivery of goods
Own the planning and day-to-day purchasing for a large pet food manufacturer, including raw materials, plant supplies, etc.
Schedule pickups, place purchase orders, monitor deliveries, as well as maintain and update corresponding schedules as needed
Responsible for purchasing raw food ingredients, packaging and others plant supplies to support the facility requirements

MBA in business administration or supply chain management
1-2 years of experience purchasing raw ingredients (meat and poultry)
1-3 years of experience in planning, inventory management or scheduling in a manufacturing setting
