About the role

The Assistant Early Childhood Teacher position is a year- round key position at the Early Education Center.
To provide a safe, pleasant environment and attentive childcare with an emphasis on the children's emotional, physical, and social needs.
To assure compliance of all EEC, Winter Park Resort, and The Colorado Office of Early Childhood policies and procedures.

To effectively assist lead teacher in managing children in a classroom setting.
To maintain safety and supervision of all children.
To perform daily childcare duties as set forth by the lead teacher and directors, including but not limited to feeding, changing diapers and all other basic needs of the children.
Assisting the lead/directors in keeping accurate attendance records for each child.
Maintain the EEC in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
Maintain professional communication with parents and staff.
Assistant Early Childhood Teachers are responsible for assisting the lead teacher with educating, supervising, and caring for the children at the EEC.

A minimum of nine (9) months (1,365 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of four (4) or more children less than eight (8) years of age who are not related to the individual.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
Completion of one (1) of the Early Childhood Education course
Must be enrolled in and attending the second (2nd) Early Childhood Education course, which will be used as the basis for their qualification for the position of Early Childhood Teacher; or, Completion of two (2) of the Early Childhood Education courses referenced in Section 7.702.43, B, 3, with a course grade of "C" or better and no experience; or, A current Early Childhood Professional Credential Level I or higher in Version 3.0 as determined by the Department.

Teachers must meet education and experiential requirements, register and complete classes in a Colorado statewide professional development system, as well as completion of 15 hours of Continuing Education annually.
