About the role

- What we need Symbotic is seeking a Buyer to source and procure spares and Recommended Spare Parts List (RSPL) components across the Symbotic system.
- Symbotic reinvents the warehouse as a strategic asset for the world's largest retail, wholesale, and food & beverage companies.
Responsibilities
- Source and purchase Spares & RSPL components, partnering with internal stakeholders to procure against accurate demand and deliver stakeholder value.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships within category, driving cost savings and high fill rates across the product catalogue.
- Partner with Planning to align procurement strategy with business needs.
- Maintain accurate purchasing data and planning parameters to support MPS/MRP processes.
- Lead bid package development and manage RFQ processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve purchasing issues (quality, scheduling, pricing) and ensure internal/external service levels are met.
- procuring robotics, structural, and automation components at the core of our systems, sourcing third-party partners for installation and deployment, and ensuring robust aftersales support once systems are live - all in service of Symbotic's commitment to reimagining the supply chain and transforming the movement of goods through intelligent automation, while bringing unparalleled value to the customer.

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of procurement experience.
- Experience with relevant commodities (conveyors, lifts, robotics, automation controls, steel, material handling systems) and familiarity with the related supply base.
- Up to 10% of travel may be required.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with MRP systems
- SAP preferred for PR/PO generation.
- Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
Compensation
- The base range for this position in the posted location is $71,000.00 - $97,900.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
