About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop project and technical strategy within area of expertise
  • Apply advanced scientific principles, theories and concepts to a broad range of research problems and develop innovative solutions for analytical problems related to drug discovery and development
  • Design and execute analytical studies to facilitate drug discovery and platform development in various disease areas
  • Independently design and initiate development of analytical methods and improvement of existing ones
  • Develop and validate analytical methods to quantify and characterize drugs and impurities
  • Identify, propose and lead areas for initiatives /improvement
  • Influence and support drug discovery/development directions with scientific findings

Requirements

  • PhD in analytical chemistry or close related fields with 2+ years relevant industry experience
  • Expertise in sample preparation, peptide mapping, MS/MS peptide sequencing, glycosylation analysis, disulfide bond mapping, and post-translational modifications analysis
  • Ability to prioritize the workload and adapt to fast changes
  • Experience with a wide range of analytical techniques

Nice to have

  • hands on experience with CE or MALS is a plus but not necessary

Compensation

  • Wisconsin pay range
