About the role
- Our vision is a world with clean, reliable, and affordable energy for everyone.

- Helion is continuing to iterate and on the path to the world's first fusion power plant, Orion.
Responsibilities
- Lead assembly, integration, and bring-up of complex electromechanical systems, including full-system builds
- Develop and standardize work instructions, build processes, and test procedures for repeatable execution
- Partner closely with engineers during prototype development, supporting rapid iteration and real-time design changes
- Design and fabricate fixtures, jigs, and test setups to improve build quality and efficiency
- Drive root cause analysis on failures, implement corrective actions, and reduce recurrence of failures
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies in build and test workflows and drive improvements
Skills
- Strong diagnostic capability using schematics, instrumentation, and signal tracing
- Proficiency with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQ, etc.)
- Experience working in prototype, R&D, or high-mix production environments
- Ability to interpret and apply complex technical documentation at the bench
