About the role
- This role involves approximately 25% electronics soldering and 75% mechanical and energetic assembly work.
- The position is based in Simsbury, CT and reports to the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Perform Potting and Encapsulation operations using a variety of different materials and mixing methods
- Support Inspection of Electronics Assemblies per IPC-A-610 Class 3
- Perform assembly and inspection operations in accordance with detailed manufacturing instructions, product drawings and quality plans.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records and documentation.
- Support inventory maintenance of component parts and materials.
- Setup and maintain work cells in accordance with 6S principles.
- Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense (EBAD) is seeking a skilled Energetics/Electronics Technician to support a combination of mechanical and electro-explosive assembly operations.
Requirements
- Electronics Assembly Experience Required (PCB Assembly and Electro-mechanical Assembly Knowledge)
- Ability to excel in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions in English.
- Must have a high school diploma.

Skills
- Current or previous IPC-A-610 Certification is preferred but not required
- Current or previous IPC-A-620 Certification is preferred but not require
- Experience with assembly operations including, but not limited to: torquing, bonding, cutting, filing, bending and laser welding.
- Experience with lab equipment including, but not limited to: precision weight scales, graduated cylinders, and calipers/micrometers.
- Experience with MS Office, specifically Excel.
