About the role

  • Reporting to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, you will provide visionary leadership to a highly engaged team while driving operational excellence, financial performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • This role is responsible for creating memorable guest journeys while maintaining the highest standards of service, quality, presentation, cleanliness, colleague engagement, and operational execution.
  • The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the In-Room Dining team to deliver exceptional luxury service aligned with Fairmont, Forbes Five-Star and Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards by fostering a culture of personalized hospitality, visible leadership, colleague engagement, coaching, development and succession planning.
  • Drive an outstanding guest experience by monitoring guest feedback, quality audits and reputation metrics, resolving guest concerns with professionalism and care, collaborating with cross-functional departments, and implementing continuous improvements that enhance the overall luxury guest journey.
  • Manage departmental financial and operational performance by overseeing labour and payroll, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, productivity, revenue generation and luxury upselling initiatives while achieving departmental revenue and profitability goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive Food & Beverage leadership experience, including 3 years in a management role within a luxury hotel or upscale restaurant.
  • Knowledge of Forbes Five-Star and Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards
  • experience in a Forbes-rated property is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of luxury food and beverage service, including wine, spirits, VIP service and guest recovery.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • experience with Silverware POS, Opera PMS or similar hospitality systems is an asset.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience managing In-Room Dining, Restaurant or Luxury Hotel Food & Beverage operations preferred.
  • ProServe Certification required (or ability to obtain)

  • Competitive Salary: $81,000-$83,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education
  • Job Duties Include:
  • Oversee all aspects of the In-Room Dining operation, including breakfast, all-day dining, overnight service, amenities, VIP deliveries and special requests, while ensuring the highest standards of service, food quality, presentation, cleanliness, operational efficiency and compliance with health, safety and brand standards.
  • Champion operational excellence and continuous improvement through regular inspections, team briefings, performance analysis, quality assurance, process enhancements and strategic leadership that empowers colleagues, strengthens accountability and consistently exceeds guest expectations.
