About the role
- The Commissions Analyst will calculate and process agent commissions for a variety of carriers.
- Calculate and forecast agent commission expense for monthly close process
- Research and resolve agent commission related inquiries
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Excel reports using commission data as requested by sales and finance management
- Monitor and maintain individual agent balance reporting, ensuring obligations are appropriately cross collateralized across carriers
- Associates get satisfaction from knowing they provide agents, marketers and carrier partners the support needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving industry.
Requirements
- Review data entries, calculations and outputs with a high degree of detail in order to identify discrepancies and perform corrections and revisions
- Download and maintain third party files to populate commission file, reformatting when required
- Required to use hands, fingers, arms, standing 7-8 hours throughout the day
- Required to sit for approximately 6-8 hours per day
- Advanced Excel knowledge

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with both finance staff and agents
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Insurance industry experience or related agency experience
- Proficient in the use of computer and programs
- Maintain confidentiality and protect PII
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Interact professionally with brokers, carriers and other employees
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience
Compensation
- Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training
