About the role

  • The Accounting Manager - Client Advisory Services (CAS) is responsible for leading complex accounting engagements while serving as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
  • This role combines technical accounting expertise, client relationship management, and team leadership to ensure the delivery of accurate financial reporting and exceptional client service.
  • The Accounting Manager also mentors staff, oversees workflow, and contributes to the firm's continued growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while proactively managing expectations and identifying business needs.
  • Lead client meetings and confidently present financial information and accounting recommendations.
  • Supervise, mentor, coach, and develop staff and senior accountants.
  • Lead workflow planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet client deadlines.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide regular feedback, and support employee development initiatives.
  • Manage client billing, accounts receivable, and engagement profitability.
  • Support business development initiatives by identifying opportunities to expand services with existing clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a public accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

  • CPA license preferred
  • EA designation or equivalent experience may be considered.

Compensation

  • $115,000 - $130,000.
