About the role
- The Scalable Workforce Team Member at EnviroScience is responsible for supporting environmental projects that require flexible, short-term, or project-based staffing.
- This position works within cross-functional teams to provide assistance in fieldwork, data collection, lab analysis, and reporting, as needed.
- Collect water, soil, and air samples in compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and organized records of fieldwork, lab results, and analysis.
- Provide support in client meetings by preparing data summaries or background research.
- Perform site assessments, habitat surveys, and environmental monitoring under the supervision of senior team members.
- Communicate findings and updates to project leads and senior staff in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Must be able to see, read, write and speak.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field sites, sometimes on short notice.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in a relevant field is highly desirable.
- E xperience working with environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Familiarity with species identification and habitat assessment methodologies.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, or OSHA safety training.
- Familiarity with environmental sampling techniques and data collection methods.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and GIS software.
Skills
- Strong ability to interpret and analyze complex environmental data.
- High level of accuracy in data collection, recording, and analysis.
- Ability to identify potential environmental concerns and provide practical solutions.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in report preparation and data presentation.
- Willingness to work in varying environments and conditions, including outdoor fieldwork in diverse weather situations.
- Work Environment
- Standard office equipment will be provided to work in the office and at home - a dedicated space at home to work is also required.
- Uninterrupted home-based internet is a must in your home to attend and host video calls, along with a minimum bandwidth speed of 20 mbps.
