About the role
- Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team in providing nursing care to residents.
- Works under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse.
- SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in orientation of new personnel and new residents/families.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains good interpersonal and communications skills and utilizes these skills in work with residents, families, volunteers, visitors and other staff.
- Participates in providing emotional support to resident and families throughout their stay at Villa Providence Shediac Inc.
- Applies interventions within established scope of practice standards Supports resident independence, safely, dignity and comfort Documents the resident's care according to established policies and procedures Provides leadership, guidance and assistance to the resident attendant in completion of activities of daily living
Requirements
- Permanent full-time positions and casual positions Must be entitled to work in NB as an LPN, or able to transfer their licence to
