About the role

  • In addition to standard processing, the incumbent will be involved with CRA compliance, Canada Labour Code compliance, taxable benefit administration, and policy development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex monthly reconciliations of payroll general ledger accounts and investigate variances
  • Lead the year-end process, including the reconciliation and filing of T4s, WCB, EHT's, and other compliance forms
  • Support the finance department with cash accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable cycles where necessary
  • A strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust that we have built with passengers, partners, and communities
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to our unique mission, whether that's through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years' payroll and accounting experience in a medium-to-large organization
  • Experience with the Canada Labor Code and various payroll contracts or agreements
  • Must be a legally entitled to work in Canada

  • In collaboration with the Financial Controller and HR, develop and document formal payroll and leave policies to ensure consistency across the organization
