Performs diagnosis and failure analysis using appropriate test equipment and tooling.
Performs other tasks as assigned by lead or management.

Documents device evaluation, service recommendations, parts required and preventative maintenance feedback on service work orders.

Position typically works in a manufacturing environment on site where environmental conditions are stable.
May be exposed to higher levels of noise typical in a manufacturing environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
use hands to finger, and operate manual and non-manual machinery
stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, stretch and lift up to 20 pounds.
Position requires that the employee use eye protection using certain equipment/machinery.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Basic electrical / mechanical skills desired.
Basic math and logic skills required.
Basic computer skills and software use desired.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Willingness to learn repair of more advanced products.
Ability to work without direct supervision.

1 year professional work experience in mechanical, production or skilled trades industries and/or proficiency in relevant repair experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Additional training or experience in mechanical device repairs.
