About the role

  • What this Job Entails: The Project & Program Management role is responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of lab operations projects from initiation to delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain lab inventory databases
  • Maintain various ticketing systems with current project status
  • Manages multiple, cross-functional and technical network deployment projects
  • Partner with functional teams during initiation, plan, design, procurement, deployment, and post deployment phases
  • Engage in creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation including schedules, reviews, process documents, risk analysis, etc.
  • Be a point of contact for vendor partners and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate and drive regularly scheduled meetings with core teams
  • Take an active role in evaluation of post project results against metrics; recommend or implement changes to improve delivery practices/processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years' related experience and/or training
  • 2 to 5 years of project management experience in a high-pressure, and fast-paced environment, preferably supporting data centers or network hardware
  • Other duties as required.

Skills

  • Solid understanding of layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts
  • Hands-on experience with configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining IP networks
  • Understanding of fiber optics and optical networking and related components
  • Familiarity with key optical technologies
  • 2+ years of experience with data center lifecycles and/or large-scale networks
  • Builds productive internal and external working relationships
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, documentation)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments concurrently
  • Self-starter who is able to quickly learn new tools and gain familiarity with new processes and technologies with minimal assistance
  • Experience creating spreadsheets and project/process documentation
  • Willingness to work across multiple North American time zones (remotely or from the local client office)

Compensation

  • $66,120.00 - $104,400.00 USD (Salary)
  • Further, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position.
