About the role
- We are seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel (Director level) to join our U.S. legal team.
- The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in capital markets, complex commercial transactions, and corporate governance.
- This individual will play a critical role in supporting the company's business operations, strategic initiatives, and growth objectives by providing practical, business-oriented legal guidance across a broad range of corporate matters.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including commercial contracts
- Assist with corporate governance matters, board management, and ensure compliance with all corporate foundational documents
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Capital Markets, Product and other cross-functional teams to support business objectives and mitigate legal risks
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the legal department operates efficiently
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 6+ years of legal experience relevant to the role in a law firm or corporate setting.
- Proven track record of handling complex commercial transactions
Nice to have
- In-house experience in FinTech and/or working with emerging markets is a plus.
Compensation
- $216k-$260k
