About the role

This role offers an exciting opportunity within a dynamic manufacturing assembly environment.
Team members will leverage their prior experience, and the knowledge gained from training and certifications to complete daily assigned tasks effectively.
Individuals will be responsible for identifying their work locations on advanced airplanes, parts, and tooling by interpreting intricate drawings to accurately complete detailed work instructions.

Must have the ability to work variable shifts (first, second, or third) based on business needs.
Must be able to walk constantly throughout the workday
Must be able to lift/carry up to 35 pounds
Must be able to work with high-hazard chemicals using proper protective equipment provided.
Must be able to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications, if required.
1+ year experience using software applications such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications.
1+ years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly processes and procedures.
Safety is non-negotiable and must be integrated into every task we perform.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Must successfully complete the new hire foundational training to obtain and maintain all required certifications.

3+ years of CNC experience.
3+ years of experience with conventional material layup, precision measuring, power, pneumatic and hand tools.
3+ years of crane operations experience.
3+ years of experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematic and diagrams in aviation.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Composite Fabrication Specialists (Level B or C) to assist with multiple areas of the 787 production system in North Charleston, South Carolina on a variable shift.
Attention to detail and procedure compliance is critical to identify all necessary hand tools, parts, and equipment required to ensure defect-free work.
