Responsibilities

  • Maintain delinquencies in accordance with peer performance and the risk profile of the bank.
  • Document all activity taken to collect non-performing loans or assets.
  • Perform other collection-related tasks, as assigned or requested

Skills

  • High school education with 5-7 years of related collections experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of federal and state law related to the collection of nonperforming assets.
  • Understanding of the regulatory process regarding collateral repossession, foreclosures, and bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Work independently on assigned projects after receiving initial direction from supervisor.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks, focusing efforts on those nonperforming assets that pose the greatest risk to the financial institution.
  • Effectively communicate through written and oral skills.
  • Exercise flexibility and innovativeness to accomplish the goals of the Collections Department.
