Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for network upgrade projects and initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation with minimal disruption to operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user connectivity issues, delivering responsive and professional customer support.
- Manage access to network segments and resources in accordance with established security policies and access control procedures.
- Perform network hardware, operating system, and software updates to maintain optimal performance, functionality, and security.
- Adhere to established change management and configuration management processes to maintain network integrity and compliance.
- Install, maintain, operate, and secure LAN infrastructure and network devices to support organizational requirements.
- Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support one of our important partners, delivering secure, resilient, and mission-critical capabilities across a complex environment.
- This program is the delivery of regional IT services to the end user offering support of end user devices including desktop, workplace peripherals, and voice and video devices.
- This role requires independent and team-based execution, proactive analysis to identify root causes, and the ability to support resilient infrastructure solutions.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required.
- Associate's degree in engineering technology from an accredited college is required.
- Two (2) additional years of network engineering experience may be substituted for the Associate's degree.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Experience with installation and configuration of network devices, such as firewalls, switches, routers, and cabling.
- Experience with network operating systems, hardware troubleshooting, and ticketing systems.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Cisco, Brocade, or Juniper devices is a plus.
