About the role
- Capco is seeking an experienced Developer with Prompt Engineering to join our Technology & Engineering practice in Toronto on a contract basis (4 days per week).

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and modern software engineering best practices.
- Develop and optimize prompts using Generative AI prompt engineering techniques to support enterprise AI solutions.
- Build and integrate APIs and backend services that enable AI-powered applications.
- Collaborate with architects, data specialists, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- Contribute to technical design, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong commercial experience developing backend applications using Python.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and scalable backend architectures.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within Agile delivery teams.

Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Prompt Engineering, including Generative AI prompt engineering techniques (essential).
- Experience working with AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI solutions.
- Experience within financial services or consulting environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience integrating AI or LLM-based capabilities into enterprise applications.

- The salary range for this position is listed below.
- Additionally, this position may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary/variable bonus payment.
