Responsibilities

  • Maintains accountability for revenue and profitability for client accounts and projects and keeps all involved parties up to date
  • Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with clients and carriers
  • Attends carrier events to remain up to date and knowledgeable of carrier plans and changes, as well as maintain strong relationships

Requirements

  • Ability to influence and effectively interact with members of the C-suite
  • Must be self-motivated and disciplined
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Must have a practical knowledge of quoting process and tools
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with database applications

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred

Compensation

  • Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location.

  • 3+ years' of benefits consulting experience, required
  • Must be up to date and knowledgeable on Health Care Reform and health and ancillary insurance products
  • Valid life and health insurance license, required
  • Develops sophisticated benefit design and renewal strategies and drives the development of solutions to address complex client issues
  • Establishes effective carrier/vendor relationships to serve clients in benefits procurement and administration
  • Maintains a full understanding of the insurance markets, funding alternatives, networks and benefit plan options
  • The Benefits Consultant is primarily responsible for retaining clients and their existing book of business.
  • The consultant will oversee strategy, financial analysis, benefit design, plan renewals, bench marking, and overall service delivery.
