Responsibilities
- Operate water trucks (typically 4,000-8,000 gallon capacity) for dust suppression, road maintenance, and compaction support across the facility and active work areas
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and report mechanical deficiencies promptly
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and inspection findings
- Support other site operations as directed, including light equipment tasks if qualified
Requirements
- Monitor water levels and coordinate refilling as required to maintain continuous site operations
- Valid Alberta Class 3 (or Class 1) driver's license with a clean abstract - air brake endorsement (Q) required
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating water trucks or similar heavy equipment in a construction, aggregate, or industrial setting
- Strong understanding of dust suppression techniques and site watering best practices
- Ability to work in all weather conditions typical of Calgary and southern Alberta
