About the role

  • Execute comprehensive recruitment and pipeline strategies aligned to organizational goals by identifying and cultivating sources to attract high-quality applicants.
  • Oversee admissions process by reviewing student applications, recommending candidates for interviews, and facilitating team deliberation sessions to finalize scholar selection.
  • Ensure a smooth and equitable admissions process from application through acceptance.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend and implement innovative approaches to strengthen recruitment outcomes.
  • Build new relationships and manage existing relationships with school and community partners.
  • Plan and deliver recruitment presentations, workshops, and information sessions.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all outreach and engagement efforts to ensure team alignment.
  • Manage event logistics for Interview Days and other recruitment initiatives.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to data and systems each cycle to ensure efficient and effective practices.
  • Maintain accurate program data to inform Scholar support and program planning.
  • Generate weekly reports to support Program Managers in Scholar advising.
  • Track and analyze intervention efforts to support continuous improvement in 9th grade Scholar success.
  • The Manager, Recruitment leads the execution and continuous improvement of a strategic, data-driven recruitment and admissions cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization or company.
  • Experience working directly with youth required.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully executing recruitment processes, with experience using online recruiting and data management tools, including Salesforce.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to clearly and effectively present content in a public forum, engage in active listening, and command the attention of large groups of students.

  • 100% of Scholars are accepted into four-year colleges, 85% of Scholars graduate with a Bachelor's degree, and 80% are first-generation college graduates.

Compensation

  • $66,300 - $75,500
