- The trainer utilizes interactive lessons, technical demonstrations, and real-world scenarios to teach foundational and advanced skills in aircraft electronics, navigation systems, communication equipment, and diagnostic procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintains student and class records.
- Informs Coordinators of support services for students.
- Maintains a positive, productive classroom and handles behavior problems effectively.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed; willing to travel throughout the college district using own means of reliable transportation.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Requirements
- Must have or qualify for a valid Texas driver's license and proof of liability insurance.
- Instructs Avionics Technician classes for students of various proficiency levels.
- Associate's degree preferred.
- One (1) year of teaching/training experience required.
