About the role
- The Advance Practice Provider (APP) works collaboratively with a supervising physician to provide direct clinical care for patients presenting to assigned ambulatory clinic within Denver Public Health.
- The APP works in close communication with the unit's multidisciplinary team which includes social work, care management, medical assistants, nursing, research, pharmacy and others to help coordinate comprehensive care for their patients.
- This position may assist in the educational training of future providers and students.

- Utilizes the principles and practices of effective communication to elicit information, negotiate problem resolution, and/or garner support for various programs or policies. (5%)
Requirements
- Master's Degree Required
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required and
- Department of Regulatory Agencies Required and
- American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board Required or
- National Commission for Certifying Agencies Required
- Completes required documentation legibly, thoroughly, and in a timely manner.
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required and
- NP-Nurse Practitioner - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies Required and
- NP-Nurse Practitioner - AANPCB - American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board Required or
Nice to have
- 1-3 years Related clinical experience preferred
Skills
- Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
- Skill in eliciting history from patients, performing physical exams, formulating assessments, and determining treatment plans for patients.
- Experience ordering appropriate diagnostic studies to aid in diagnosis.
- Knowledge of appropriate administration and prescription of medications.
- Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.
- Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations.
- Ability to prepare accurate documentation and reports.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- EPIC experience preferred.

Compensation
- $122,100.00 - $134,900.00 / yr
