About the role

  • The Finance/Budget Manager position serves the Edward R.
  • Murrow College of Communication as the primary operator for all the financial functions of the College.

Responsibilities

  • This position manages the support functions for the college including grants, payroll, major purchases, travel, service operations, and course fee oversight.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of complex budget/accounting processes.
  • Experience with various financial activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, travel, personnel, cost analysis and budget planning.
  • Experience supervising and leading staff.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and financial databases.
  • Experience working with federal and state regulations pertaining to fiscal and administrative management.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with public broadcasting accounting methods.
  • Experience with an online enterprise accounting system.
  • Workday preferred.
  • Experience working with service centers, establishing course fees, and working with contracts.
  • Experience creating financial reports for an external audit.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, financial planning, and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.

Compensation

  • In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position.
