About the role

  • You'll be the first dedicated product designer at Texture, shaping how an entire industry transitions to modern software.
  • You're not designing one product; you're designing an ecosystem of interconnected surfaces for different users with different needs.
  • Dashboards & Analytics: Real-time operational views, performance metrics, system health

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end product design across multiple surfaces-from early concepts through detailed specs and implementation support
  • Design data-heavy interfaces including dashboards, tables, maps, and timelines that make complex systems understandable and actionable
  • Design AI-native experiences: conversational interfaces, intelligent suggestions, and workflows that blend human judgment with automation
  • Create consumer-facing flows: enrollment, device connection, and onboarding that feel simple despite technical complexity
  • Build and evolve our design system (140+ components and growing)
  • Ship fast with high standards-prototype quickly, make decisions, and deliver without endless iteration
  • Want to own the whole thing, not just a slice
  • Collaborate deeply with product and engineering (not just handing off specs)
  • Are comfortable being customer-facing-talking to users, understanding their needs, and translating them into the right design

Requirements

  • 5+ years designing complex products, ideally B2B or enterprise
  • Proficiency in Figma and component-based design systems

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI/ML products, copilot-style interfaces, or generative UI
  • Experience with developer tools, APIs, or platform products
  • Frontend familiarity (React, HTML/CSS)
  • Early-stage startup experience (0→1)
  • Experience in energy, utilities, or infrastructure software

Skills

  • Complex workflows for operators managing incidents, dispatching commands, auditing activity
  • Move quickly and make decisions without waiting for perfect information
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity-can turn a half-formed problem into a great experience
  • Can shift between dense enterprise tools and simple consumer flows without losing quality
  • Care about craft, but care even more about shipping the right thing
  • Enterprise Tools: Complex workflows for operators managing incidents, dispatching commands, auditing activity

Compensation

  • Competitive salary and benefits
