About the role
- Demo 3D with catalog creation, fly throughs and animations
- Preparation of the drawings in the Fortna standard based on layers and representation of the technical elements
Responsibilities
- Serve as layout creation expert during the operations design phase
- Provide high quality 2D and 3D drawings and support the creation of solutions with feasible layouts
- Creation of drawings and assets for best practice solutions in 2D and 3D for a library, utilizing current design practices for material handling systems
- Maintaining good design notes
- The primary focus of this position will be to utilizing computer‐aided design software and/or drafting equipment to create 2D or 3D drawings, blueprints, schematics, and related technical renderings.
- The Technical Design Engineer will also be Concept Realization face of the project, this individual will be responsible for Leading and Guiding team members for project deliverables.
- The TDL will attend all project meetings that include, Customer kickoff meetings, OPS Design kickoff meetings, SDW's, Pre Sales and OPS assessment site visits.
- Deliver constructive criticism
- Deliver technical expertise
- Develop project plans and resource planning
Requirements
- Two-year engineering and/or drafting degree or high school diploma with five years of relevant experience
- Five years' experience with AutoCAD or equivalent
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel
- Proficiency in Demo 3D
- Knowledge of technical feasibilities of commonly used technology
- Ability to improve concept layouts with regards to achieve economic use of materials
- Willingness to expand knowledge of industry best practices and latest innovations in the industry
- Ability to communicate in English at a conversational level
- Experience in preparation of layout design drawings for logistic solutions
- AutoCAD 2D, 3D, Inventor or equivalent design package
