About the role
- Season is transforming how people access medical nutritional therapy, connecting patients with insurance-covered registered dietitians to improve health outcomes.
- As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll work across the entire Season platform, from core scheduling and dietitian appointments to new client integrations and our AI-powered nutrition tools.
- This is a builder's role at the intersection of healthcare, nutrition, and AI, where ownership and self-direction matter more than a perfect resume.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the core Season platform, including scheduling and dietitian appointment flows
- Design and ship well-structured back-end APIs
- Partner with non-technical stakeholders to turn fuzzy requirements into working solutions
- Solid experience designing and building APIs and back-end services
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) 5+ years building and shipping production systems
Nice to have
- Fullstack capability, backend depth plus frontend experience.
- Tech stack: backend - JVM (Java, Kotlin), Python.
Skills
- Proficiency with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL)
- Strong communication and collaboration, including gathering requirements from non-technical stakeholders
- Infrastructure as code exposure (Terraform, CDK)
- Snowflake, DBT or other data warehouse / analytics tools
- Experience building billing, fintech, or healthtech systems
- Prior experience in a regulated or healthcare environment (HIPAA / PHI)
