About the role

Responsibilities
- Provide case development guidance and support and assistance for: policy waivers, technical releasability, site surveys, manpower estimates, and Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) transparency and pricing requests
- Functional support for managing requirements and reporting for LOA and FMS cases
- Ensure up to date information in the SAF/IA partner capabilities database for assigned programs, countries or regions
- Assist and support assigned SAF/IA Country Director with program management, to include monitoring of training, exercises, personnel exchanges, security assistance programs, FMS key leader engagements in the US and overseas, provide coordination throughout the Department of Defense (DoD) on policy, FMS, and security cooperation
- Assist and support the assigned SAF/IA Country Director in defining, tracking, analyzing, reporting, and advising on major aspects of current and future FMS programs
- Assist and support the assigned SAF/IA Country Director with briefings, point papers, background information, political-military analysis and other documentation
- Familiarity with US military aircraft operations, maintenance, and/or logistics support with the systems purchased from the US by Near East nations

- Description: ACT1 Federal is seeking an experienced Foreign Military Sales (FMS) specialist to provide advisory and assistance support to the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs (SAF/IA).
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with a desired emphasis in an International Affairs curriculum
- Minimum of Three (3) years' experience with demonstrated effectiveness and success in the mission areas below:
- Familiarity with USAF sales to foreign governments
- Experience with DoD acquisitions, program management, and standard computer applications
- Experience with conflict resolution, mediation, and ability to work well with foreign partners
- US Department of War (DoW) staff experience in a military or civilian capacity
- Knowledge and general understanding of USAF roles and missions
- Demonstrated experience implementing DoW acquisition policies, laws, regulations, and guidance required to implement FMS LOAs
Compensation
- $135,000-$155,000
