Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Lead the development and execution of media relations initiatives, event activations, and campaign deliverables.
  • Manage account budgets, timelines, and reporting to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong media relationships, while identifying opportunities for clients across traditional, digital, and social channels.
  • Step in to support tactical execution as needed, maintaining a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • This role balances hands-on execution with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality work that supports client success and contributes to agency growth.
  • Role Expectations The Account Manager is expected to manage a portfolio of accounts with professionalism, strategic thinking, and attention to detail.
  • This includes leading day-to-day client interactions, building and executing PR and social media strategies, and ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • 6-7 years of experience in a public relations agency environment.
  • Post-secondary education in public relations, journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful PR strategies at both local and national levels.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with experience handling multiple accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and support junior team members.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and solutions-oriented with strong project management skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
