About the role

  • This position is an entry level role in the corporate accounting function of a growing, employee-owned (ESOP) construction company.
  • The Corporate Staff Accountant will work closely with the Corporate Accounting Manager on core accounting responsibilities and day-to-day accounting operations.
  • The ideal candidate is a strong team player with solid communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Support general ledger maintenance and basic journal entry preparation.
  • Help maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
  • Payment Processing & Transactional Support
  • Support accounts payable and other transactional accounting functions as needed.
  • Special Projects & Operational Support
  • Partner with cross functional teams that would be assigned for various ad hoc projects.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Accounting experience preferred
  • open to candidates with varying levels of experience.
  • Experience with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Construction or corporate accounting experience is a plus but not required.

  • Compensation will be market based and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
